  • 13 oz puff pastry, ready rolled
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 5 thick pork sausages
  • 2 tablespoons red onion jelly or cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cut the pastry into 10 pieces, each one measuring 4 x 2 ¾ inches.
  3. Put a spoonful of red onion jelly or cranberry sauce in each one.
  4. Cut the sausages in half.
  5. Peel the skins off.
  6. Put the sausages on the jelly or sauce and roll the pastry around the sausage.
  7. Use the beaten egg to seal the sausage rolls.
  8. Grease a baking sheet with the melted butter and put the sausage rolls on there, sealed side down.
  9. Brush more egg over them so they get a shiny glaze when they cook.
  10. Bake these easy sausage rolls for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  11. Cool them on a wire rack for 10 minutes then serve them warm.
